E-Tender Selangor introduced by Selangor State Government to advertise all its projects tender by using online method. This system can be access through the Internet at https://tender.selangor.my/. This system is transparent because every detail such as name of project, detail of project, owner of project and successful bidder will be posted in the system which all potential contractors / vendors can view the results.
There are several objectives of using this system:
1. To open any tender to as many contractors / vendors as possible which they can access it anywhere
2. To facilitate contractors / vendors to enter any tenders by using online system
3. To provide transparency procurement process to public
4. Reduce usage of papers
Before any contractors / vendors enter the bidding process, they must register first at the website. Once the administrator verified the application, they can start to buy respective documents and send it it through online, However, physical documents such as the tender forms, company license and registration need to be sent as for verification purpose.
